What we are
Superheader is a simple banner-exchange network. Participating sites display 728×90 banners from the network, and in return their own banners are shown on other member sites. We do not run programmatic auctions or sell personal profiles.
Information we collect
- Server logs. Our servers automatically record standard access logs (IP address, user-agent, referrer, timestamp, requested URL) for security and debugging.
- Account data. If you register, we store your username, password hash, and account settings (e.g., site quota). We never store plaintext passwords.
- Banner & site metadata. Slugs, labels, target URLs, and image URLs you submit for your banners and sites.
How we use information
- To operate the banner network and enforce weight/rotation rules.
- To detect abuse and keep the service secure.
- To communicate with you about your account (e.g., approvals, policy updates).
What we don’t do
- No third-party trackers or cross-site profiling by us.
- No selling of your personal information.
Cookies
We use essential session cookies for authentication in the admin interface. Public banner delivery does not rely on tracking cookies.
Data sharing
We may share limited data with service providers that help us run the service (e.g., hosting, DDoS protection). They only receive what is necessary to provide their service and are bound by contracts to protect it. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
Server logs typically roll off within 30–90 days. Account data persists while your account is active or as required by law.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and banners by contacting us. If you are in a region with specific data rights (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), we will honor applicable requests.
Security
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Files uploaded for banners are re-encoded to strip metadata and reduce the risk of embedded payloads.
